I started going to university on September 9, at the beginning I was quite nervous, because I’ve always observed people describing university as something too difficult, with extremely strict professors and that university students do not even have time to sleep, however, after my first week at the Nueva Baja University I realized that it is not like that.

The subjects that I take in this first semester are human development, social dynamics, oral and written communication, information technologies and fundamentals of research, so far my favorites are human development, oral and written communication, and fundamentals of research, however, I think that all my teachers are quite nice, since you can see that they like to teach and most of the classes are very entertaining and interactive.

Something that I also like about my university are the animals that are there, because I have a lot of affection for animals, I have 5 dogs (3 are rescued) and sometimes I feed and pet dogs and cats from the street. The official mascot in the UNB is Claudio the rooster, but there are also some dogs and a cat that, although they are not from there, like to be there, sometimes even the husky or the cat enter my classroom, although it is on the third floor, and the teachers let them be there.

Since I am in the common core, I share the same classroom with the education students, so we are a total of 48 students in class. Since there are so many of us, some of my teachers usually leave tasks that are done in teams so that they don't have to spend a lot of time reviewing the works. Honestly, I’ve never liked working in a team very much, but since it is important I strive to get along with my classmates and try to be more social.

I think that so far I'm doing quite well since I don't struggle with any subject, and sometimes some teachers leave fun jobs, for example, the other day in communication, the teacher let us choose a clip from a series, cartoon, movie or whatever and remove the audio so that we can do the dubbing, on my team I chose a clip of SpongeBob SquarePants and interpreted the voice of Bob. I also like the human development classes because of the way in which the teacher of that subject gives the class, since he gives us advice about our life and I like his way of seeing things, he likes cinema and theater a lot, he told us that he has participated as a director in several films, even some of them appeared in the theaters, and he also teaches at the CEART in Rosarito.

In the mornings to get to the university one of my relatives takes me since I still don't know how to take the transport there and I'm afraid of getting lost, when it's by car it takes me about 30 minutes to get there, and on the way back I come alone, since I only have to walk about 15 minutes from my university to get to where the taxi-vans pass, and it takes two to get to my house.

So far I have done quite well and I really like to continue studying, so I want to thank the Rotary club for this opportunity to move forward, I really like studying in my university and I expect big things.
