Déjame presentarme.

My name is Gian Carlo Alexander Ramirez Flores. I studied programming at CECyTE High School, but my true passion lies in Nutrition, which I aspire to study at the University of Xochicalco.

Receiving a scholarship means a great deal to me as it would provide financial relief and allow me to focus more on my education. Initially, I chose programming in high school because I believed it was my passion. I have always been fascinated by technology and how it works. Although it turned out differently than I expected, I do not regret my decision because the knowledge I gained will surely be beneficial in the future. However, over time, I discovered my true passion—fitness and bodybuilding.

Throughout most of my life, I struggled with obesity. My parents encouraged me to engage in physical activity and supported me in improving my health. Despite their efforts, I never enjoyed exercising. That changed when my cousin invited me to train with him at a small gym in his neighborhood. I accepted his invitation and followed his workout routine. I immediately enjoyed the sensation of working out, and over time, I realized that I genuinely loved going to the gym. As the months passed, I saw changes in my body, which further motivated me. I started watching fitness-related videos and became inspired by people with impressive physiques. This sparked my ambition to achieve a strong and healthy body and fueled my deep interest in bodybuilding and nutrition.

My long-term goal is to own my own gym, work as a certified nutritionist, and be a personal trainer at my facility. I know this journey will come with challenges, but I am determined to achieve my dream. A few months ago, I felt lost about my future, but now I have clarity and direction. I am incredibly grateful to my parents for their unwavering support and encouragement. Without them, I would not be the person I am today. Despite facing financial and family difficulties, they always tried to provide me with the best opportunities.

To support my education, I worked two jobs while attending school. One of them was at a local pizza place, and the other was a project that aligned with my programming studies. I was hired to develop a website for a residential subdivision. The goal was to create a platform where residents and potential buyers could access information about rentals, property sales, and other community services. I signed a contract with the association’s president and worked diligently on the project. However, as the workload increased, I encountered tasks that exceeded my capabilities. Eventually, due to various challenges, we mutually decided to cancel the contract. Fortunately, I was compensated for the work I had completed, which helped me continue paying for my education and support my family.

This journey has taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of pursuing my passions. I sincerely hope to receive this scholarship, as it would significantly ease my financial burden and bring me closer to achieving my dreams.
