Miranda Gil
Industrial Engineering

Ensenada Campus
Déjame presentarme.
My name is Miranda Gil Ramirez, and I am 17 years old. I aspire to study industrial engineering at a university in Ensenada. This is my story.
I am the second of three siblings, raised by loving parents who instilled strong values in me and filled my childhood with wonderful memories. Since I was young, I have dreamed of going to university. For me, education represents an opportunity to improve myself and achieve success in life. I have always believed that attending university is not just a necessity but a privilege—one that opens doors to personal growth and professional achievement.
At the age of 10, God came into my life and filled my heart with His love. My faith in Him has given me strength and confidence in facing life’s challenges. Receiving this scholarship would be an incredible blessing, helping me achieve my dreams of pursuing higher education. When I first learned about this scholarship, I was filled with excitement and hope, knowing it could provide a foundation for my academic journey.
Choosing a career path was not easy for me, as I have always been drawn to many different interests. I love music, crafts, painting, chemistry, and nature, among other things, which made it challenging to settle on a specific field. At first, I considered studying dentistry, encouraged by my father, while my mother advised me to follow my heart and choose something that offered good opportunities.
During the fifth semester of high school, my school psychologist asked me about my plans after graduation. While I initially answered "dentistry," this question made me reflect on whether it was truly what I wanted for my life. Around that time, I got to know my physics teacher, who inspired me when I learned he had studied industrial engineering. Curious, I researched the field and found it fascinating. After much thought and discussion, I realized industrial engineering was the right path for me. Though my father was initially hesitant, he ultimately supported my decision, for which I am deeply grateful.
My parents have always given me their love, guidance, and support. However, financial constraints make it difficult for them to assist with my university education. My father does not have a stable job, and my mother does everything she can to save. Despite these challenges, I firmly believe in the saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way." I am determined to graduate from university, knowing that with God's help, I can overcome any obstacle.
My goals in life are to graduate, pursue a career in industrial engineering, and achieve personal and professional success. I hope to one day inspire others by sharing my experiences as a university student, offering advice to those beginning their own journeys, and feeling proud of what I have accomplished. Many people tell me that university will be difficult, but I welcome that challenge. I look forward to the day when I can look back and say, "Thank you, God, for guiding me through the toughest moments, for never leaving me, and for giving me the confidence to finish my studies. With Your help, I achieved my dreams."
Thank you for this opportunity to be considered for this scholarship. With your support, I am confident I can turn my aspirations into reality.
Sincerely,Miranda Gil Ramirez
