Adela Noriega Salinas
Industrial Engineer

Universidad de Nuevo Baja
Rosarito Campus
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Adela Noriega Salinas and I am a fifth semester student of Industrial Engineering at Universidad Nueva Baja, at the Playas de Rosarito campus. I study in the semi-school mode, which means I attend in person three days a week.
The student scholarship from the Rotary Club would represent a great support for me, as with their help I could pay my monthly fee, which is $1900 pesos, and a quarterly re-registration fee of $1800 pesos that must be covered within the first 5 days; if not, the cost increases. Thanks to this
assistance, I could pay promptly and continue studying to achieve my goal of graduating and becoming an industrial engineer, and thus, when the time comes, contribute to the development of my community.
One of my dreams is to finish my studies and work on the development and direction of new projects that generate jobs for the community. I also want to study a specialty in renewable energy that seeks to improve the state of the environment in my community through projects that generate changes
in the culture of the new generations.
I chose this career because at the moment I learned about all the areas it covers, I fell in love. I am a person with a very great and ingenious curiosity. I am passionate about ecology, physics, electricity, research, programming, administration, laws; I found all that and more in the Industrial Engineering
career.
Growing up where I grew up was not easy. Since I was little, I got the idea that going to college would not be possible for me and during high school, at the age of 18, I was forced to become independent and, sadly, I could not continue my studies. I left school and dedicated myself to work... until 2 and a half years ago when I resumed my studies. Since then, I am focused on what I want for my life. I
began to surround myself with people who add to my life and decided to make a change in my destiny. These people inspired me to continue my studies.
My passion is to learn and teach. A long-term goal is to work in collaboration with non-profit organizations to support young people who have gone through my situation and guide them in search of something better, something that we call "CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT" in my career.
